Research areas: innovation in the area of media literacy and combating contemporary challenges such as misinformation and/or hate speech. She is visiting assistant professor at the New University of Lisbon and at the Portuguese Catholic University. He received his PhD in Digital Media through the University of Texas at Austin’s Portugal Colab program, after a career of over 15 years in journalism. As a researcher, she is interested in the areas of media literacy; children, youth and media; journalism; disinformation crisis and hate speech.
